Question #2

I’m buckling up and setting my sights on the goal. Because of that, I won’t have the time to devote writing posts for the blog during the month of June. But rather than just going silent, I’ve decided to try something different. I love hearing from you and I thoroughly enjoy the interaction and feedback that happens in the comment section.

This month I’m going to ask YOU questions. I will weigh in with my own answers, but I’m mainly interested in just getting to know you. Some of the questions will be fun while others will hopefully take us deeper.

After all… June is for questions.

QUESTION #2. What is your favorite Bible Verse to comfort your heart when you are worried or scared?

______________

Joshua 1:9 has been my RX for fear since the spring of 2002. “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”

Waiting to hear from you,
Ginger

Isaiah 41:10 (even got me through labor and delivery!)  Fear not, for I am with you.  Do not look anxiously about you, for I am your God.  Surely, I will help you; surely, I will uphold you with My Righteous Right Hand.

  • “And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words. And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers[l] in harmony with God’s own will. And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.” Romans 8:26-28

    • Amen! We are going through Romans at church this year and we just hit this section two weeks ago. As soon as I read the first three words I thought, “Yes, OF COURSE this verse!”

  • “Cast all your cares upon the Lord for he cares for you.” (Bonus: This comes in song version too. Thank you Psalty.)

    • We have so many things to thank that big blue singing songbook for!

Zephaniah 3:17 – The Lord your God is with you.  He is mighty to save.  He will take great delight in you, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.

    • I picture a baby mobile every time I read this song… and a Father leaning over the crib singing. Such a tender verse.

Psalms 34:18 the lord is close to the broken hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit
