Question #10

I’m buckling up and setting my sights on a goal. Because of that, I won’t have the time to devote writing posts for the blog during the month of June. But rather than just going silent, I’ve decided to try something different. I love hearing from you and thoroughly enjoy the interaction that happens in the comment section.

This month I’m going to ask YOU questions. I will weigh in with my own answers, but I’m mainly interested in just getting to know you. Some of the questions will be fun while others will hopefully take us deeper. After all… June is for questions.

QUESTION #10. What’s the best Christmas present you received as a child?

My parents totally surprised the three of us kids with a trampoline! We were in delirious shock for months.

What about you? What was your fav gift?

  • Melissa Hester

Barbie Dream House. Hands down. I still believed in Santa at the time and when the red headed boy down the street tried to tell me he wasn’t real I used my gift as proof telling him that my parents couldn’t afford the dream house because it had to be at least $40 so Santa had to be real. But eventually I ran home crying and my mom told me the truth and then turned back to me and said the Easter Bunny wasn’t real either. I told her that everyone knew that.
This year though my parents already gave me the major part of my Christmas gift and it’s a sewing machine! A) it’s the Lord saying that I don’t need a family/husband to be who the Lord has created me to be and B) that my parents are claiming womanhood over me. Cool, right?

    • Love it! We never had the dream house but I can totally understand why that would lend credibility to Santa. And hurray for the year of the sewing machine. I got one for Christmas too. Cheers to domesticity!

  • It would have to be Atari 2600.
